It was on cable news few days ago that I learnt that the old Star Ferry Piers will be removed to make way for a bypass and shopping mall. Many Hong Kongers bid mournful farewell to the city's icon. From the few times that I crossed the harbor on a Star ferry, yes, it was nothing short its place in National Geographic as one of "50 places of a lifetime". While it may resemble certain Vogon plan...it got me thinking...
Consider these, the notion of new, old and renewal.
Speaking of new...Congrats to the newly weds... Gordon and Lily. Wow...

Hi Eric, this is Jen, Paul's girlfriend! I took the Star Ferry twice, going to Kowloon and I really thought the pier was great and my friend and I spent quite some time to watch the people hanging out there, waiting for the ferry. It was sad to hear they tear it down for another mall (it's not like there are no malls in Hong Kong... ;-)). So I officially mourn with you! Cheers, Jen
