Yep. Its official.
I have definitely lost my sense. Derailed.
It sucks not knowing what to feel... or when your action and thoughts do completely different things. When one is obviously happy to see someone why go and put up an 'just-don't-give-a-f^&k' face; Or when you see things that just makes no sense.
Is it just a case of I see what I wanted to see???
Temporary down time. But have to push on.

F.F.F.

Kostas Seremetis Exhibition
Someday Gallery is very proud to announce that New York artist Kostas Seremetis will be in Melbourne for his first Australian solo exhibition "F.F.F" from Friday 16th June to Sunday 16th July 2006.
F.F.F. is an exhibition of new works by Seremetis, featuring large-scale paintings, graphic pulp-inspired prints and works incorporating neon lights and wood. Kostas has recently undergone an artistic metamorphosis, building upon his signature graphic sensibility to incorporate new mediums, subjects, and projects, on a scale unlike anything he has undertaken previously. His recent works are still heavily influenced by science fiction and pop culture, but are also anchored with more serious undertones.
This will be the first time Australian audiences have had the opportunity to experience the works of this young visionary, who has been referred to as "one of this generation's radical iconoclastic minds”, and who currently stands at the allegorical crossroads of the art establishment and pop subculture.
Kostas Seremetis has exhibited work at: Deitch Projects, New York; Made Contemporary Art Gallery, Vancouver; Colette, Paris; Hyteck Convention Center, Hong Kong; Laforett Museum, Tokyo; Parco Museum, Tokyo.
Worth a trip to Melb to check it out?
Morning. Glory.

As the whole nation glued to their tv set 5 AM(or the sofa bed next to the tv set) the Socceroos advance to the next stage of the Wcup after a thrilling, spinetingling match that had all the dramas (ooohs and ahhhs) against Croatia which ended in a draw of 2-2. Glory to Harry and the 'roos. (Seeing the PM on the morning news sat infront of his television fitted in his infamous green&gold attire is....hilarious. :D)
My morning however is a little different.
Not sure if I'm just not used to getting up so early but the morning felt kinda edgy... something just wasn't right about the morning air. The high rise apartments near by (still hesitant to call them high rise... the fact that they are only tall relative to surrounding) hidden like an ominous tower of doom behind dark clouds... (or a silly giraffe hiding from its predator, haha). Fog thickens the further I walk down the backstreet, one can hardly see clearly beyond 30 meters, not unlike my thoughts, metaphorically speaking. Even after a cup of hot cocoa and banana bread with ms gorgeous in the morning... feels like theres alot on my mind. :(
Pics to follow... Fogged up... troubled mind?

Bad ideas...
1. Beer and Oporto burger
2. Getting drunk hours before a basketball game. Apparently I played better when i was drunk ... but that could easily be the alcohol talking.
3. Instant noodle + two fat frankfurt sausages at 1 AM ... Thought it was a good idea at first (where all bad ideas starts) but turned out not so great hahah... I couldn't even finish the last one. Just looking at that makes me feel sick. Get that away from me... I need a drink of water.

Lets take a ride
Driving back home ... I'm sure you know where they were taken. Sometimes being the driver really suck cos you miss out all the beauty along the way. Sure , keep your eyes on the road, but look what we're missing. I used to love the Sunday morning drive for that reason... one can drive slow and really take a look at everything along the way and enjoy the jorney (even better if there is someone to share it with). I don't want to spell everything out for y'all and get all philosophical at this time of the night... so I'll leave you with these pictures and since a picture is worth a thousand words (and thats 3000-worth). In Jack's words, slow down everyone... you're moving too fast....
But do drive safe everyone.

But do drive safe everyone.

"One Man Band"

The things we do for coins...
I downloaded a short film by Pixar from iTunes store titled "One Man Band"... Now I don't usually buy videos since I don't actually own a video iPod but this one is worth every cent. It is a story of two street musician battling it out in the name of coin. A coin from a humble village girl. If you haven't already seen it at "Cars" ... go download it from iTunes Store.
And before I forget... Happy belated Birthday to my aunt Janice !!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Somethings gotta give...

Looks like I've been blogging alot lately. (yea... but bloggin about nothing though.) Its just one way to keep myself amused I guess. Everyday is full of surprises... some good some bad... some aren't so surprising... some you just don't even know where to start hah! ...Every first of the month makes me think of you more than usual.
Moving right long... After countless phone calls and emails to the Architects and numerous visits to the North Sydney Council we (the urban & city crew) are finally making some progress. The folks and Alex Popov Archtects finally agree to meet with us to discuss details and designs of the Canopy Apartments. And they did not disappoint I must say. The more I learn about the design of these apartments the more I appreciate it. Everything is rational and the pieces just falls in the right place. After a while you just can't imagine it being executed any other way. Certain constrains started to define and narrow options but it was cleverly handled. The out come was a delightful solution... regardless of how long it took the council to approve the DA, ha!
Another interesting piece of information ... get this... the late Harry Seidler, Alex Popov and Tony Caro... all three offices are in the same building... how cool is that !? Anyway big up for Brian from APA office for lending us a hand.. great help clearing some of our questions... pretty cool dude too so... yea !! (Hurrah!)
